Our PuppyKindergarten classes are the perfect place to start if you are a first time dog owner or have not raised a puppy for several years. Puppy Class is intended for puppies between  10 and 20 weeks old .  Older "Toy" breeds or smaller breed puppies are also welcome. The entire family is welcome to participate in their dog's training! 

Since puppies LOVE  to play, we offer  a fun and active class that is geared to the younger puppy's activity levels and attention span.   Through  a series of Learning Games, your puppy will learn the proper way to play with adults, children and other pets... even cats!  You will teach your puppy to come happily and willingly for love and attention, and most importantly,  when you call.  Your pup will also be learning NOT to chew on all of the wrong things, jump up on people (Unless invited to do so) or bark, bite or nip unnecessarily.  Simple, dependable ways to prevent chewing and housebreak your pup will also be shown, and everyone get hands-on practice trimming toenails.    Other subjects will include proper nutrition and grooming methods for your special friend.

You will soon find your puppy walking with you without pulling, laying down when told, sitting at the door and at street corners, and more importantly asking to go outside to go "Potty"!

We provide individual instruction in each class to show you how to gently and effectively teach your pup to perform the exercises.  ALL family members are welcome to come with their dogs for training class!  All children are truly ENCOURAGED to attend, but children under 5 years old must be supervised at all times while in our training facility.

For the health and safety of all the puppies in class, puppies who join Paws-Abilities Puppy Kindergarten Training Classes MUST have had their second series of immunizations (including Bordatella) before the first day of class.  Please bring your puppy's current shot records, a favorite toy, and please don't forget your pup's favorite treats!

 Puppy Kindergarten costs: $90  for the 6-week course.

Doing "Puppy Push-ups" is a great way to exercise a puppy while teaching 'Sit" and "Lie Down" ...from the puppy's point of view, this is FUN!

Teaching puppies how to get along with "others" is a major goal. Larger?	Learning to walk on a loose leash really helps when the puppy later doubles in size. Big Picture?

Grizz, all 18 ounces of him, at 6 months.     Big Picture?	No matter what size your puppy is, he or she will benefit from early training because puppies at this age really want to learn.  Smaller breeds can also learn how to safely socialize with larger breed puppies:  The size difference is not as magnified as later in life.
