At Paws-Abilities, we combine old fashioned common sense with today's more progressive positive motivational training techniques.
Whether your goal is a socially perfect pet or a reliable obedience or Agility competitor, Our Perfect Pet program will result in a much more enjoyable pet who is both eager and willing to please!
Perfect Puppies: $350.00 total
Our Perfect Pet Puppy Dog program is for any puppy 12 weeks of age and has completed it's 2nd set of shots... The program includes six weeks of PuppyKindergarten training, a five Week Tricks Class, six weeks of Basic Obedience Training, six weeks of Beyond Basic Obedience training, 3 private lessons and finishes with the Canine Good Citizenship Test!
Perfect Adults: $350.00 total
Our Perfect Pet Adult Dog program is for any dog six months of age and older... The program includes six weeks of Basic Obedience training, a five Week Tricks Class, six weeks of Beyond Basic Training, 2 months of Advanced classes, 3 private lessons and finishes with the Canine Good Citizenship Test!

Since puppies LOVE to play, we offer a fun and active class that is geared to the younger puppy's activity levels and attention span. Through a series of Learning Games, your puppy will learn the proper way to play with adults, children and other pets... even cats! You will teach your puppy to come happily and willingly for love and attention, and most importantly, when you call. Your pup will also be learning NOT to chew on all of the wrong things, jump up on people (Unless invited to do so) or bark, bite or nip unnecessarily. Simple, dependable ways to prevent chewing and housebreak your pup will also be shown, and everyone get hands-on practice trimming toenails. Other subjects will include proper nutrition and grooming methods for your special friend.
You will soon find your puppy walking with you without pulling, laying down when told, sitting at the door and at street corners, and more importantly asking to go outside to go "Potty"!
We provide individual instruction in each class to show you how to gently and effectively teach your pup to perform the exercises. ALL family members are welcome to come with their dogs for training class! All children are truly ENCOURAGED to attend, but children under 5 years old must be supervised at all times while in our training facility.
For the health and safety of all the puppies in class, puppies who join Paws-Abilities Puppy Kindergarten Training Classes MUST have had their second series of immunizations (including Bordatella) before the first day of class. Please bring your puppy's current shot records, a favorite toy, and please don't forget your pup's favorite treats!

Our Basic dog obedience course provides you with the instruction to train and control your 6-month-old through adult dog. While PuppyKindergarten classes teach listening, vocabulary and mechanics, the older dog is now made responsible for remembering and following your instructions on the first command...Through a logical class progression, you will train your dog to sit on command, stand, lie down, stay where left, come when called, and heel at your side on a loose leash.
Other subjects include how to stop your dog from running through an open door or teach your dog not to jump on people. We also address territorialism, problem barking and common stealing. We include simple ways to stop the nipping and biting, solve your hole digging problems, and will address your specific issues willingly.
In addition to the traditional group lessons, we provide
individual guidance in each class to show you how to GENTLY, but
effectively, perform each training technique. Well behaved children are
welcome in class, and ALL family members are encouraged to attend our sessions
along with the primary handler.

Our Beyond Basic Dog Obedience Course is intended for those dogs and handlers who have completed our Basic dog obedience class and continues refine your dog's performance and reliability. The entire family is welcome to join in the dog's training! Class goals include off-leash heeling, introduction to jumping and retrieving, reliable response to both voice commands and silent signals, and reliable stays under distracting circumstances. Practical uses for obedience training will be taught. Individual attention is always provided to help you gently but effectively train your dog.
